Position Overview
A private family based in Harmony 2, Tilal Al Ghaf, Dubai is seeking a highly experienced, warm and proactive Educational Nanny to support their two young sons, aged 1 and 3 years old.
The family is looking for someone who can provide more than traditional childcare.
The ideal candidate should actively support the children’s learning, development and early childhood milestones through age-appropriate activities, structured play, outdoor activities and daily interaction.
The nanny will mainly care for one child while the mother spends time with the other, working closely alongside the parents as part of the family’s daily routine.
The eldest child attends nursery and returns home at approximately 3:00 PM.
He is active, energetic and particularly enjoys outdoor activities, running and physical play.
The family is open to candidates with formal qualifications in Early Childhood Development / Early Years, as well as candidates who have gained strong practical early-years experience through several years of working with private families.
The position is open to all nationalities, with interest in experienced South African, European and Asian candidates.
The successful candidate must already be located in the UAE.
Working Arrangement
• Live-out position
• Location: Harmony 2, Tilal Al Ghaf, Dubai
• Monday to Friday
• The hours are typically 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, depending on client needs .
• A set number of weekends per month will also be required, but not every weekend and it will be paid.
• Weekend schedule to be agreed in advance with the family
• Start date: ASAP
• Minimum commitment: 12–16 months
• Long-term opportunity available for the right candidate
• Salary package will depend on the candidate’s professional experience, qualifications and overall profile

Requirements
Childcare & Early Years Development
• Provide attentive and nurturing care for two boys aged 1 and 3 years old
• Support the children’s early childhood development and age-appropriate milestones
• Plan engaging educational and developmental activities
• Encourage learning through play, books, games and creative activities
• Organise age-appropriate outdoor activities and physical play
• Support the eldest child after returning home from nursery
• Help develop language, communication, social and emotional skills
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour in an age-appropriate way
• Maintain consistent routines for the children
• Provide a safe, positive and stimulating environment
Family Support
• Work closely with the mother and support her with one child while she spends time with the other
• Communicate clearly with both parents regarding the children’s routines, development and activities
• Follow the family’s parenting approach and household routines
• Be proactive in suggesting suitable activities, learning opportunities and outings
• Accompany the family when required and agreed in advance
Light Household Support
• Assist with light household duties when required
• Help keep children’s areas, toys and belongings organised
• Support with light tidying related to the children
• Assist with simple household tasks when childcare responsibilities allow
The main priority of the position remains childcare, development and education.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Female candidates only
• Must already be located in the UAE
• Strong professional experience caring for babies and toddlers
• Experience with children around 1–3 years old strongly preferred
• Formal education or certification in Early Childhood Development / Early Years is highly desirable
• Candidates without formal qualifications may also be considered if they have extensive practical early-years experience with private families
• Warm, patient, energetic and genuinely interested in children’s development
• Proactive rather than someone who only follows instructions
• Able to independently plan educational and developmental activities
• Comfortable with active children and outdoor play
• Professional, trustworthy and discreet
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable working closely alongside hands-on parents
• Willing to assist with some light household duties
• Looking for a stable, long-term position
